This 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Diesel was purchased from Jeffrey Ayers at Robert Loehr Jeep.
Professional, easy, and quick transaction- THANKS!
Bittersweet day trading in the Alfa Romeo Giulia that I had put a good bit of work and $$$$$ into but the new Jeep should fit our current needs a bit better. Funny though, the WL shares a version of the FCA Giorgio platform that was first used in the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio models and the 2.0L Turbo 4 is also derived from the Alfa Romeo 2.0 Turbo 4.....some are even manufactured in Italy.

Window mount and cord for radar were temporary solutions

WeatherTech Cargo Trunk Liner for Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe - Behind 2nd Row, Black P/N 401530 for carpeted side pieces- (not to be confused with P/N 401517 for plastic side pieces, WeatherTech website) and WeatherTech Bumper Topper- P/N BP0053 (Installation Video, WeatherTech website) installed.

To round out the cargo area additions, I found a small cargo net from a past car for the seat tether posts for smaller items and purchased a new larger rear trunk net organizer from Amazon.

Valentine V1 Gen2 installed (Owners Manual, Quick Start Guide, Programming Guide, Troubleshooting, How To Upgrade) using a BlendMount (P/N BV1-2001R, Installation Instructions HERE).
Rearview mirror center trim piece removed first starting at the top, and then surrounding piece that snaps on to windshield mounts unsnapped/removed. Radar Detector Hardwire Power Cord used in tandem/spliced into Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter (10-pin Type D) for MOPAR Vehicles for a true plug and play solution. Push center release (screwdriver helps if your fingers don't do it) and unplug harness at mirror while holding the mirror side plug in place. Plug in adapter between the mirror plug and wiring harness, radar power cord routed to V1 location as plastic mirror surround snapped on to windshield, and then center piece snapped in to place. 15 minutes and done, more details in pics below.

After hearing a familiar story about issues with the OE AGM battery leaving owners stranded, I decided to proactively replace ours with an Odyssey AGM battery- an Odyssey ODP-AGM94R H7 L4 from FCP Euro with their LIFETIME guarantee (Odyssey specifications HERE).

Great write-up on the process by 4XE forum member BilLongua HERE, great video with some applicable information HERE.

These are the steps I took to replace my OE battery but should in no way replace the factory service manual (with the high voltage drive battery SAFETY is paramount), pics below-
-Opened hood (should disconnect the drive battery),
-Opened rear hatch,
-Removed the plastic fusebox cover by pressing in the top/bottom tabs,
-Removed the IDCM fuse (5A) in position F76,
-Removed the spare tire cover,
-Removed the spare tire after removing the center retainer,
-Removed the (4) 13mm nuts on the battery cover/mounting plate for the tire,
-Put on some rubber gloves- just in case,
-Loosened the 10mm nut for the ground (-) terminal and removed the terminal/IBS assembly CAREFULLY TO AVOID IBS DAMAGE from the battery post,
-Unsnapped/Opened the positive terminal cover,
-Loosened the 10mm nut for the positive (+) terminal and removed the terminal carefully from the battery post,
-Removed the vent tube by pulling straight out from the battery,
-Finally, I removed the 10mm nut (deep socket) for the retaining strap/base plate (found an extra nut).

Installed the replacement battery, it helps to have another set of hands to hold the wiring/vent tube out of the way.
-When installing I was careful to slide the battery in to go under the fixed front battery mount,
-Reinstalled the retention strap/base plate,
-Reinstalled the positive terminal and tightened the terminal nut,
-Bolted rear tire mounting plate/battery cover in place,
-Installed ground terminal/IBS assembly and tightened nut,
-Installed vent tube,
-Snapped battery cover into place,
-Replaced spare tire, accesories, cover.
-Replaced IDCM fuse in position F76,
-Replaced battery distribution block cover,
-Remove and Discard rubber gloves,
DONE.

VeCarTech Cargo Shade/Cover for Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe (2) Row WL installed.

Just noticed we didn't have one and it is nice when traveling to keep thieves from window shopping. Every bit as nice as the OE shade in our WK for less than half OE cost, some complain about side gaps but they are there with OE as well....a non-issue. Compression fittings like OE for a secure fit in factory retainers on either side, works like OE.

First oil change for us and since I am an Amsoil dealer, that is where I went for oil: Amsoil
Having had a few Alfas that had a related 2.0T (Jeep 2.0 is in the FCA GME family, like the Alfa 2.0 engine), I already had a stockpile of the Mopar oil filters, P/N 048923309AB (latest revision is P/N 04892339BE) and Amsoil Signature Series 0W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil. Alternatively Amsoil Signature Series 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil is also available, already have a case of that to try once the 0W30 supply is depleted, both are recommended by Amsoil for this application.
With our TrailHawk the suspension was set to highest setting when parking after a drive to bring the oil up to operating temp. I typically start oil changes by removing the oil filler cap, then going down to the drain bolt. On the 4XE 2.0, the drain bolt and oil filter are both together in the front center. You will need to remove a small, protective cross bar to get to the filter- one bolt needs to be removed on the solid end while the slotted end just requires bolt loosening, 13mm socket works for both the drain bolt and the oil filter cross bar bolts. After removing the drain bolt and letting drain for a while, I then loosened the oil filter by hand- surprising since the dealer did the last few oil changes while they owned the Jeep. It is a little messy, I found loosening the oil filter but not removing it allowed a point for the oil to drain down the filter and into the drain pan, after the oil slowed to a drip I removed the filter. Oil all drained and filter removed, I reinstalled the drain bolt and after applying a coat of new oil to the new filter seal installed the filter hand tight, oil filter cross bar reinstalled. After adding 5 qts of oil and cranking/idling/turning off the motor and letting rest for a few minutes, the oil read right on the full line of the dipstick.
