Typical Install time: 10-15min

Tools needed:

-Long philips screw driver
-finger nail to peel double sided foam tape.
-pliers or strong fingers
-flashlight or work lamp

Step 1-3:

Unlike the M5 or M6, there isn’t a way to de-press the kidney grill clips. You will have to gently pull the driver side kidney grill off. There are 4 main clips towards the corner of the grill so you will put most of the pulling effort in those areas.

Once the grill is off, you will need to remove the stock intake velocity stack/scoop. This piece is secured by 3 pins. The rear has two pins which are part of this piece and will just pull out. The front pin (pictured) is removed by pulling the push head outwards. Once it is pulled out, the pin assembly will come out easily. After removing that pin, pull the scoop/stack outwards then towards the passenger side (see picture below).

Step3b

Peel the backing off the double sided foam tape on the RPi scoop tab. The tape will help hold the scoop in place while you screw in the self tapping screws. The tab does NOT have to line up to the tubing wall (see picture). A long screw driver will work best.

Step 4-5

Once the scoop is in place, hold the kidney grill up to the opening to make sure there is enough clearance. Use the self tapping screws (provided) to secure the scoop in place at the main mounting tab. **DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. ONLY SCREW IN ENOUGH TO HOLD THE SCOOP IN PLACE.**

Step 6

Once the back or main tab screws are in place, tap the bottom screw in. You may want to bring out the flashlight at this time to help you find the hole. **DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. ONLY SCREW IN ENOUGH TO HOLD THE SCOOP IN PLACE.**
